12 - Week Stylist Course

Personal Styling Station: During the program you'll have access to your own styling station to service clients while keeping all your profits. We believe in providing an affordable yet rewarding platform for our stylists to thrive.
Build Your Own Clientele: With on-the-job training and hands-on experience, you'll have the chance to build your own loyal client base. We'll support you every step of the way as you cultivate meaningful relationships with your clients.

Requirements:

18 Years old
Goverment Issued photo ID
Passion for hairstyling and dedication to continuous improvement.
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn from experienced professionals.
Willingness to contribute to our salon's vibrant and supportive team culture.
Unlicensed Stylists: Passion for hairstyling and dedication to continuous improvement. Ability to learn and perform braids and natural hair services without the use of chemical treatments or hot tools.
Licensed Stylists: Must hold a valid cosmetology license with no restrictions. Positive attitude and eagerness to learn from experienced professionals. Willingness to contribute to our salon's vibrant and supportive team culture.

Month 01

Foundation Building and Theory

12 - Week Course Layout

Week 1-2: Orientation | Introduction | Sanitation | Client Interaction

Introduce the new stylist to the salon environment, staff, and policies.
Provide an overview of the salon's services, products, and clientele.
Tour the salon and explain the layout, equipment, and tools.

Week 3-4: Basic Theory and Techniques

Teach consultation skills, including how to assess client needs and preferences.
Role-play client interactions and consultations to build confidence.
Cover the fundamentals of hairstyling theory, including hair anatomy, texture, and structure.
Introduce basic cutting techniques, such as blunt cuts, layers, and texturizing.
Teach shampooing, conditioning, and scalp treatments.
Demonstrate basic styling techniques like blow-drying and flat ironing.

Month 02

Skill Development and Practice

Week 5-6: Intermediate Techniques

Dive deeper into cutting techniques, including precision cutting and advanced layering.
Introduce coloring theory, including basic color wheel concepts and formulation.
Practice basic coloring techniques such as single process color and highlights.
Continue practicing styling techniques and explore more advanced styles.

Week 7-8: Advanced Styling

Focus on advanced styling techniques such as basic braiding, and braid extensions styles.
Introducing hair extensions, including sew-ins, tape-ins, clip-ins
Shadow experienced stylists during client appointments to observe real-world scenarios.

Month 03

Mastery and Real-world Application

Week 9-10: Salon Operations and Client Management

Provide insight into salon operations, including scheduling, booking, and inventory management.
Practice time management skills and multitasking in a salon setting.
Role-play various client scenarios, including handling difficult clients and resolving conflicts.

Week 11-12: Independent Work and Final Assessments

Encourage the new stylist to take on more independent tasks under supervision.
Conduct final assessments to evaluate the stylist's skills and knowledge.
Provide feedback and guidance for areas of improvement.
Discuss career goals and opportunities for growth within the salon.
